Sugar Cane Paper
All the pages of books and zines produced by Noakes Press are printed on Canadian grown Sugar Cane Paper. It is made out of waste pulp from the sugar production process that would otherwise go to a landfill and does not impact the food chain.
Hemp Paper
Hemp Cover books by Noakes Press are all bound in a thick and durable Hemp Cover Paper. An acre of Hemp produces more pulp in a single season than an acre of trees can grow in a lifetime. It is also a bio-remediative crop, replacing lost nutrients to the soil while sequestering carbon.
Agave Paper
Map and other fine art prints by Noakes Press are made with high quality textured Agave Paper sheets. Agave is a drought resistant plant that requires little water to cultivate, and its leaves can be repeatedly harvested from the same plant for years. It also returns nutrients to its soil, and needs little to no fertilizer.
Seed Paper
Noakes Press prints business cards and other short term use paper products on paper with wildflower seeds embedded in it. When you are done with them, soak them in water and throw them in some soil, and wildflowers will grow out of them and help biodegrade the paper.
